Raintree Institute

Raintree Institute exists to equip God’s people for gaining a deeper knowledge and understanding of God’s Word and how a biblical worldview directly impacts how Christians live in the world today.

Which classes should I take?

Students can take individual classes as they please, or they can set as a goal to complete 8 of the 10 classes offered to receive a Certificate of Leadership Development from Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City.

  • Church History I

    • Dates: 9/9 to 12/16 (no class on 11/4)

Cost

Classes are $20, which includes the cost for your textbook.

Jim Lucht

Jim has over 23 years of experience in pastoral ministry, and has taught psychology and Christian Education classes part-time at Calvary University in Kansas City.  He has 2 Bachelors of Arts: one in Christian Education from Calvary University, and one in Psychology from Biola University. He also has a Masters of Science in Psychology from the University of Nebraska- Omaha.

Ryan Gilbert

Ryan has been Raintree’s Lead Pastor since 2015. He has over 10 years of experience in full-time pastoral ministry. He has a Bachelors of Music from TCU, a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary, and is currently working on his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology (with a focus on eschatology) at Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City.

Vergil Nelson

Vergil and his wife Kathy retired from being missionaries with TEAM for 38 years in Taiwan. They are regularly involved in missionary training events and conferences, and travel to Indonesia 4-5 weeks out of the year.
